The ADF400L is a DIN-rail multi-user energy meter assembled from modules: one main module, then measurement modules added until the circuit count matches the building. One instrument covers up to 12 three-phase circuits or 36 single-phase circuits, and a single board can mix direct-connected and transformer-connected circuits.
The main module is the only part with an interface and a bus connection. It is fed from 3×220/380 V, takes no more than 10 W, supplies the measurement modules behind it, and carries the 8-digit backlit LCD, the programming keypad, the infrared service port and the RS485 that leads to the gateway.
How the modules add up
Two module types sit behind the main unit. A direct module takes one three-phase circuit or three single-phase circuits at 0.1-0.5(80) A. A transformer module takes two three-phase circuits at 0.01-0.05(6) A, so the existing current transformers can stay where they are. Three single-phase circuits are counted as one three-phase circuit against the 36-circuit limit.
A board with 5 three-phase transformer circuits, 2 three-phase direct circuits and 5 single-phase direct circuits is therefore sized 6H + 2S + 5D: 18 + 6 + 6 = 30 circuits, which fits. The order code reads ADF400L-5H2S5DY and the delivery is one main module, three transformer modules and four direct modules. The trailing Y marks the prepaid version.
Send the circuit list as three-phase equivalents before asking for a price: it decides the module count, and the module count is the price.
