Project background
Month-end reporting becomes difficult when the electricity bill and production sheet cover different parts of the operation. This proposal considers a Johor food factory reviewing energy performance across production, refrigeration and supporting services. The scope is to build a usable electricity record for the factory team and its Registered Energy Manager, with production and fuel records kept alongside it.
The reporting problem
A site electricity total cannot show whether a change came from lower output, a different product mix or a particular process. Staff may spend the reporting period collecting readings and still be unable to explain the result. The illustrated example makes the problem visible: total electricity falls while electricity per tonne rises. These are hypothetical figures, not savings or measured results from a customer.
